Astor Matcha is a fine, vivid green tea powder, milled to a smooth, silky texture. It has a bold, grassy character that comes through whether whisked with hot water or blended into milk. Use it to make a traditional matcha tea, whisked briskly with a bamboo whisk or fork until frothy. It also works well stirred into hot or cold milk for a matcha latte, or blended into smoothies for a vibrant green colour and flavour. Home bakers use it to bring colour and taste to cakes, biscuits and other baked treats. Sift the powder before whisking to break up any clumps and help it dissolve evenly.
